HCA continues to work with MassHealth and Commonwealth Care Alliance staff regarding this summer's issues relating to claims denials and new processes. HCA has heard that CCA continues to reprocess claims and issue payments. However, if your agency is continuing to have issues with CCA or is awaiting payment, please inform Jake Krilovich.
CCA also issued guidance last month, effective October 1st, which outlines a new process to inform providers on changes or updates to payment policies. CCA will distribute monthly policy updates. The August update informed policies about third party liability (TPL) and when CCA may act as a secondary payer.
