Alliance Pushes for Resolution on Member Billing Issues with CCA

Thousands in Outstanding Payments Stall as Home Care Agencies Face Delays

The Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts (HCA) is actively working to resolve widespread billing issues and outstanding remittances from Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) that are affecting member agencies across the state. Several members have reported waiting on thousands of dollars in claims payments due to ongoing problems with CCA’s billing and payment systems in recent weeks.

These delays are placing financial strain on home care providers who are already navigating tight margins, increased patient acuity, and staffing challenges. Timely payment for services is critical to ensuring agencies can continue to deliver high-quality care, meet payroll, and maintain operations.

HCA has escalated this issue to CCA leadership and is coordinating a unified advocacy effort on behalf of impacted members. To support this work, we are calling on all agencies experiencing CCA payment issues to report their situation immediately.

Please send the following details to Jake Krilovich at jkrilovich@thinkhomecare.org:

  • Agency Name

  • Amount of Outstanding Claims

  • Description of Issues or Denial Reasons

The more complete the picture we can present, the stronger our case for resolution. Your input is critical — help us hold CCA accountable and secure the payments your agency has earned.
