Right at Home Boston and Maine was started on the North Shore of Boston in 2002 by Rosaleen Doherty and Jay Kenney.  They started Right at Home to serve their local community with services that supported people in a most significant way. Rosaleen and Jay continue to be the visionaries for our agency and were joined by their daughter, Gabrielle Kenney in 2024, after her graduation from Bentley University. Right at Home has expanded to the Merrimack Valley from their Haverhill, MA office, the Mystic Valley and Greater Boston from their office in Malden, MA. Right at Home opened in the Portland, Maine area in 2022 and expanded to Kennebunk in 2025. Our corporate office is in Salem, MA and we are expanding to Roxbury, Boston in later 2025 to serve Boston clients and our Boston employees in a greater way. Right at Home partners with many agencies to provide senior care in the home, including AgeSpan (formerly North Shore Elder Services and Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley), SeniorCare, Greater Lynn Senior Services, Mystic Valley Elder Services, and Somerville Cambridge Elder Services. Right at Home proudly serves our veterans who need help at home through the Veterans Administration home care program. 

Our Right at Home Boston and Maine guiding light is that we "change the world one human interaction at a time". We believe our role is to provide workers with elevated Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and dementia education, along with the standard home care certification. We know that we change the world for our clients through preparing meals, or making sure they get to bed safely. We also change the world for family caregivers, who have given everything for their loved ones. Right at Home provides respite for you to get a break and recharge.
