Description

According to a recent AHA report, Medicare Advantage (MA) now covers over half of all Medicare enrollees. While MA offers some benefits to beneficiaries, it often places significant strain on small, rural hospitals through tactics such as lower-than-Medicare reimbursements, delayed or denied payments, and administrative burdens.
In this session, Julia Yoder, Marketing and PR Director at Brookings Health System, will share how her organization communicated its decision to leave MA networks, effective January 2024. She will detail how Brookings prepared and announced this move to its community in summer 2023.
Learning Objectives:
- Apply key insights to shape your organization’s MA strategy
- Learn which communication methods worked best and key takeaways
- Take away real-world communication examples you can adapt and apply
