Rate Setting Bill Hearing Set for July 1st

HCA to Provide Testimony on H.767/S.850, Advocating for Transparency in Rate Setting

Tuesday at 10:00 am EST, the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing will be holding a public hearing on several pieces of legislation, including H.767/S.850 - An Act Clarifying Rate Setting Processes for Home Health and Home Care Services. The purpose of this bill is to bring transparency to the rate-setting process and ensure that rates set by the state comply with the rate-setting laws and accurately reflect the actual operating costs incurred by home health and home care providers.

 

The Alliance filed this legislation jointly with the Home Care Aide Council and Mass Aging Access. We will be providing in-person testimony at the hearing. The deadline is THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 27We strongly encourage everyone to submit written testimony to the committee in support of the bill. It is best to get written testimony in as soon as possible.
