Portraits of Care Comes to the Massachusetts State House

Honoring the people and stories behind home care across the Commonwealth

A moving photo exhibit on display February 9–13 highlights caregivers, clients, and the power of care at home. Join us at the State House to see the faces and stories that define home care in Massachusetts.

This February, the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts is honored to bring Portraits of Care to the Massachusetts State House.

This powerful exhibit highlights the real people behind home care—caregivers and clients whose stories reflect the profound impact of care at home across the Commonwealth. Through photographs and personal moments, the exhibit offers a window into the relationships, dignity, and trust that define care in the home.

We extend our sincere thanks to the families, caregivers, and organizations who shared their photos and stories. Your willingness to open your lives to others is what makes this exhibit meaningful. Each image represents not just a moment in time, but a life, a bond, and a reminder of why this work matters.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words—but when it captures the spirit of someone we love, its value is beyond measure. Portraits of Care preserves those moments and invites all of us to pause, reflect, and recognize the human side of home care.

We invite legislators, staff, and members of the public to visit the exhibit and experience these stories firsthand. If you will be in Boston next month, we encourage you to stop by and see how home care supports families, strengthens communities, and helps people remain where they most want to be—at home.
