The Home Care Alliance was honored to join colleagues and community leaders at the 17th Annual Leadership Breakfast, hosted by Care Central VNA & Hospice in Fitchburg, MA.

The keynote speaker, author Michael Tougias, captivated the audience with vivid photos and stories from his book The Finest Hours, chronicling one of the most daring sea rescues in Coast Guard history. His reflections offered powerful lessons for leaders in every field.

Tougias emphasized that success is built in small moments, that while the goal must remain constant, the plan requires flexibility, and that trust and adaptability are what make teams strong. His message resonated deeply with the challenges and opportunities faced by today’s health care leaders.

It was an inspiring morning, reminding us that leadership is not about calm seas—it’s about navigating with clarity, resilience, and courage when the waters are rough.
