Boston-based Hebrew SeniorLife, an HCA member, has launched the Lunder CareForce Institute, a 10-year initiative to train 3,000 new health care workers and address frontline staffing shortages.
The organization received $499,890 in state funding to support nurse aide training and job placement for 120 unemployed and underemployed adults in Greater Boston. Participants will earn CNA, CPR/BLS, and Alzheimer’s Habilitation Therapy credentials, along with career coaching, stipends, and job placement assistance.
