Alzheimer’s Council Releases Toolkit

The Care Planning Team of the Massachusetts Advisory Council on Alzheimer’s Disease and All other Dementias has released a new toolkit for people living with dementia, dementia care partners, families, community-based service providers, and health care providers.



The purpose of the toolkit is to facilitate the development of person-centered dementia care plans that support living well with dementia. The toolkit also includes a list of other resources to connect Massachusetts residents to information for dementia care and support, encourage meaningful dementia care planning discussions, and promote equity and inclusion in dementia care planning.

Supportive Home Care Aide Training

Registration is now open for a free Online Advanced Skills Alzheimer’s Training offered March 25 & 26. The 12-hour training is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. both days. The training is presented by the Home Care Aide Council and the Executive Office of Aging & Independence.   



The course is limited to 40 people; agencies may enroll up to 3 aides. The deadline to register is Wednesday, March 12; however, registration will close automatically once the course reaches capacity. The course will be offered numerous times this Spring.
