TPE Audits in Home Health: What’s Triggering Them and How to Survive

A TPE (Targeted Probe and Educate) audit in home health will examines an agency's claims and medical records to find billing errors, inconsistencies and inaccuracies and provide one-on-one education to fix them. While the main goal of the TPE program is to help home health agencies lower their claim denial rates and improve documentation accuracy, it can be a stressful process!
We will review the top reasons we are seeing that are triggering TPE audits, how to avoid them, and how to survive if you find yourself under audit!

Kelly has been working in the Home Health consulting industry for 18 years and uses her knowledge and network of experts to bring your agency the expertise it needs. Kelly has a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development from the Binghamton University, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego. She holds an HCS-O certification and is also a CHAP Certified Consultant.
