Post-Acute Care Summit 2025

Tuesday, June 10, 2025 (9:00 AM - 12:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

Virtual Event from the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association As the healthcare systems adapts to the policies of a new administration, post-acute care services and transitions of care across the continuum are more important than ever. Join MHA and other healthcare stakeholders to learn about the direction of the Trump administration in Washington and its impact on care, the effect on the post-acute care workforce and nursing, how hospitals can work with post-acute care partners to improve discharges to home care and skilled nursing facilities, and what healthcare organizations across the continuum are doing to address throughput, health equity, and the introduction of innovative care models.

For the past three years, the Alliance has been part of the Massachusetts Health And Hospital Association (MHA) Post-Acute task force. For the second year in a row, MHA is hosting a Post-Acute Care Virtual Summit on June 10th from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.. The Summit brings together representatives across the continuum to discuss discharge barriers and pressure points.

Colleen Pierro from the Alliance will host a session which includes a presentation on challenges for home health agencies to accept referrals - followed by a panel discussion moderated by Colleen with Alliance members Ann-Marie Peckham (Cape Cod Health), April Bartley (Holyoke VNA & Hospice Life Care), and Brandon Howes (Comfort Home Care).

MHA invites Alliance members to attend the virtual summit at the MHA member rate. If you're interested in attending, email Laurie Snelson at MHA.
