Dementia Care: A New Support Guide for Families
Helping caregivers navigate safety, comfort, and symptom changes at home.
New Dementia Care Patient & Caregiver Guide
We’ve added a new resource for agencies and the families they serve: the Dementia Care Patient & Caregiver Guide. This comprehensive handbook explains late-stage dementia symptoms, home-safety strategies, comfort measures, and guidance on eating, sleeping, mobility, and communication.
The guide also highlights how hospice and palliative care teams support families—nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and clinicians—along with medication considerations and pain-management approaches. A dedicated caregiver section addresses emotional, physical, and spiritual stress, with tools to help families navigate each stage.
This resource is available as a free download for members.
